The small religious monument, designated as a wayside cross in the komoot system, which rises above the fields at the roadside, is intended to be classified as a memorial cross. The triple-tiered base, whose two upper tiers stand out clearly from the light-colored lower base and the cross itself due to their dark color, bears a detailed dedicatory inscription in memory of the married couple Joh[annes] and Maria Magd[alena] Merzenich.
