By marriage, Hohenwettersbach came into the possession of Baron Schilling von Canstatt. The day laborers who were necessary to manage the Hofgutgemarkung did not initially have their own property. It was not until 1864 that the day labor colony became an independent community alongside the estate.

Hiking
To the north of the manor house are the former farm buildings of the “Im Spitalhof” estate. The buildings have now been rebuilt and there are apartments in them.
Hohenwettersbach dates back to 1262.
