The Trabelsdorf Castle with its adjacent castle park can look back on a long and very lively history. The first beginnings can be traced back to the 8th / 9th centuries. The first moated castle was built that housed the first princely families: the Lords of Thüngfeld, the Militz family, the Münster family. The Markschalk von Ostheim family built the current castle in place of the moated castle, which the former municipality of Trabelsdorf was able to acquire in 1936. Since then the castle has served as the seat of the doctor and since 1978 also as the seat of the Lisberg administrative community.

The still existing Wasserburg was broken off in 1700 and replaced by the still existing castle. The poetess Charlotte von Kalb (1761-1843), a soulmate of Friedrich Schiller and other great German poets, frequently visited this castle building. The manor Trabelsdorf remained until 1874 in property of the Marschalk family of Ostheim, until it came through sale in private hands.

Small castle in the center of the village. Behind it is a large park with carp pond.
