Best Hikes to Rotenhan Castle Ruins

Tips

  • The ruin Rotenhan is a real rarity. It is one of the 100 most beautiful geotopes in Bavaria. Once the castle dominated the important road between Bamberg and Fulda. The medieval fortification was carved out of the rock in the 12th century, until 1323 it was intact. Absolutely impressive!
