The Emmaus Monastery is beautifully situated in the green, at the end of a stately beech avenue. The monastery dates from the 17th and 18th centuries and is the oldest Capuchin monastery in the Netherlands. It is named after the biblical village of Emmaus, which was located near Jerusalem.
