The Colla Sardanista Violetes del Bosc, founded in 1945, won for the first time the Championship of Catalonia of sardana groups in 1959. That success has been repeated very often and has also often been in second place. In his palmarés there are also championships of reverses and complete group, the Glass of Catalonia and the Territorial Championship of the City of Barcelona.

The Monument to the Sardana, created in 1965 by Josep Cañas with the collaboration of Carles Amadon, is a limestone sculpture depicting eight people dancing the traditional Catalan sardana. Located in Plaça de la Sardana, it was first inaugurated in 1966 and later restored and rededicated in 2009. In 2020, it was vandalized, with the dancers' hands amputated, prompting a long-awaited restoration completed in 2022. The monument bears the inscription "La sardana és la dança més bella" ("The sardana is the most beautiful dance"), celebrating Catalan culture.
