The "Friedrichsbrunnen" is a landmark of the town, which centuries ago was a popular resting place for merchants, hunters, warriors and mercenaries on the old imperial army road Quedlinburg-Nordhausen. In 1754, King Frederick II rested on an inspection tour at the "Friedrichsbrunnen". He owes his name to Friedrichsbrunn.
