Outside of the region, only the Halter reservoir is known. But it is definitely worth making a detour to the Hullener reservoir by bike or on foot. Very scenic!

Cycling

The Hullern Dam (Hullerner See) in the district of Recklinghausen in North Rhine-Westphalia dams the Stever above the Haltern reservoir. Gelsenwasser AG uses the dam to obtain water and it also serves as a place for quiet recreation. The dam was inaugurated on October 15, 1985 after thirteen years of construction.
