The Tre Croci Pass is an Alpine pass located at 1,805 m above sea level. in the province of Belluno between Mount Cristallo to the north and Sorapiss to the south. Its name derives from a sad event that occurred in the eighteenth century: when a mother and her two children, in an attempt to reach Cortina d'Ampezzo, froze to death near the step. In memory of the event, three crosses were erected.
Today this pass is very popular with cyclists and hikers due to the wide range of paths and cycle routes in the area.

The Passo Tre Croci takes you from Cortina d'Ampezzo up to Lago di Misurina. Over eight kilometers you flatten 575 meters in altitude. But there is a fantastic panorama at the top of the lake and plenty of opportunities to strengthen yourself. Of course, the pass is also not to be scoffed at as a descent. You can start in Toblach, climb past the Toblachersee and Dürrensee up to the Misurina See and then enjoy the wonderful descent down to Cortina, from where you can complete the circuit back to Toblach in a relatively relaxed manner.
