By far the most beautiful mountain lake in this region. Unfortunately in the summer very crowded.

If you have time, take the high route to the lake and the lower route on the return

@Kjell: with the high route is certainly the way from Tre Croce over the Forc. Marcoira meant. Especially in very warm weather, the ascent in the other direction would be arduous, very steep.
In addition, one would in good weather, v. A. in season, on the lower trail running from Tre Croce in a procession- most tourists just want to get back and forth to the lake as easily as possible.

Beautiful lake, the ascent is already an adventure in itself. We did not know how high the lake is and went off on good luck. After 650hm and 2 1/2 h we were up and did not regret it! Suitable for dogs accustomed to more demanding trails. My two have mastered it super up.

Edit: we were up in early June and it was still snow on the last 150-100 hm and the lake was still frozen. For the most part we had our peace, it was not very crowded.
