Hiking
The bastion is hidden in a rocky landscape in the immediate vicinity of Thum's market square in the forest, which stretches between Thum and Herold. You can get there through a wooden portal, and then a well-signposted, romantic forest path will take you on.
Not far from the bastion there is a higher vantage point in the forest, the Georgfelsen, as well as Wettinplatz, a former cemetery of a manor.
