Nab Scar is a gorgeous place to look out over the scenic delights of Rydal Water, Grasmere, Loughrigg Fell and more. These were the places that enraptured Wordsworth and went on to have a lasting impact on the way we view landscapes such as these.
Approaches to Nab Scar begin from either Grasmere or Rydal and make for pleasant adventures. The fell is often bagged at the start or end of the much more epic Fairfield Horseshoe, a classic expedition taking in eight Wainwright summits. There’s no shortage of accommodation in the region.
