In Bremen's oldest district are small houses from the 15./16. Century strung like pearls on a string. Here artists, goldsmiths and gallery owners work. Cafés and restaurants invite you to linger.

The Schnoor - also called the Schnoorviertel (from Low German Schnoor, Snoor = string) - is a medieval Gängeviertel in the old town of Bremen and also the name of the street Schnoor in this district. The lodging owes its name to the old shipcraft. The corridors between the houses were often associated with occupations or objects: So there was an area in which ropes and ropes were made (Schnoor = string), and an adjacent area where wire and anchor chains were made (Low German Wiere = wire ), from where the street Lange Wieren got its name.Source:

A visit to the story house is definitely one of them, Absolutely interesting for slightly larger children (schoolchildren), but also for adults! This is experiencing Bremen's history with all your senses.
