"The Nette is a small river in the Lower Rhine region. It is about 28 kilometers long and has a catchment area of about 180 square kilometers.
The Nette begins in Dülken and flows first past Boisheim, then through some Nette lakes near Lobberich and Breyell, then through the Krickenbecker lakes and then towards Wachtendonk. North of Wachtendonk it flows into the Niers.
The Nette gives its name to the Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park, through which it flows, and to the town of Nettetal, which was created in 1970 during a regional reform (formed from Lobberich, Breyell, Hinsbeck, Leuth, Kaldenkirchen and Schaag)."
