      Sandstone was mined here until June 1st, 1964. The quarry has been a nature reserve since 1984. During World War II, ammunition for anti-aircraft guns located on the ridge along the Teuto was stored in the quarry. Two bunker chambers were directly on the road, two more were on the western wall in the quarry itself.
