Kettinghoeve (Turfhuis) Kettingdijk

Kettingdijk is not only the name of the higher sand road that lies here, but also of the farm built in 1939 (in the Dutch Altweerterheide (Weert), also known as "the turf house" but actually called Kettinghoeve.Both refer to the former Chain Bridge. The farm is really more than worth seeing, a beautiful building in an equally beautiful setting. You will find some more information on the "Bolle Jan Route" information board on your right as you walk there, including about the fauna and flora in the area.The Kettingdijk area is located north of the Wijffeltbroek nature reserve, which is usually named together with the Smeetshof.
