Liesing Castle was first mentioned in documents in 1387 as a manor called “Hausgraben” or “Auhof”. It is surrounded by a large public park. The former moated castle has not been completely preserved.

On October 16, 1387, a farm in Liesing was mentioned, which is associated with the location of the later castle. From 1435 onwards, a house named "Hausgraben" is mentioned in a deed of renunciation. From 1415-1435, the Liesing judge Georg Zeitlas was in charge of it, after which it was owned by Pastor Andreas Plankl from Gars, who transferred it to the Dorotheerkloster monastery he had founded.
