The Church of the Holy Trinity is the church of the former Augustinian monastery in Alsfeld, dating from the 14th century. This two-aisled, early Gothic hall church with a high Gothic five-eighths apse is one of the few structures of its kind in Central Hesse that continued to be used for worship after the Reformation. It serves as the winter church for the Protestant congregation of Alsfeld.

Hiking

Former monastery church of the Augustinian hermits with a long choir intended for the clergy from the 2nd half of the 14th century. Around 1435 an asymmetrical hall with a central and side aisle was added. No church tower due to the mendicant order. Ribbed vaults with good keystones have been preserved. Beautiful stone pulpit with wooden sound cover around 1663, next to it remains of frescoes. Restored in 1960/62, removing classicist fittings.
