The workers' settlement Rohdenhaus was built in 1907 and 1908 for the Rheinische Kalksteinwerke GmbH Wülfrath, founded in 1903 by August Thyssen. From 1910 to 1912 the ensemble was expanded and completed in its present form from 1926 to 1928. The settlement is a registered monument of the city Wülfrath.
