In 1997, the citizens Renate Fähnemann, Manfred Brau and Kurt Niepel donated the find. During the conversion of the Angerplatz in Zwiesel, the anchor was set up in 2008 at the Schwarzer Regen. At the same time, the Zwiesel city council gave the location the name "Braker Bucht" as a visible sign of the city partnership with Brake. In 2010, the Friends of Brake e. V. the construction of a seating area in the Bay of Brake.
