At first through the forest relatively dark but after the first 20 minutes the forest clears and you get a nice view of the Kochelsee. The steps are relatively exhausting in the beginning, but after the first warm-up, you got used to it. At the weekend is relatively busy here but the paths are so wide that you can always overtake or can be overhauled.
At the top of the reward follows with a great view over the Fünfseenland, as well as to the south side over the Walchensee and the mountain range.
After a little refreshment on the jochbergalm direction Walchensee again relatively steep downhill. Surefootedness is required here. Finally, let your feet refresh in the cool Lake Walchensee. Then follow the last few meters back to the parking lot.

On the weekend during the day unfortunately very crowded, so we were up to the sunrise. Again, not alone, but significantly fewer people than later. In May, a start is recommended around 3 o'clock to be up at sunrise

Beautiful view over Kochelsee and Walchensee, but often overcrowded on weekends.
