The very carefully maintained and heavenly flying area on Bergstrasse in Recklinghausen-Ost was laid out in 1969 by the Erkenschwick model pilots (Albatros) and taken over in 1970 by the model flying group of LSC Recklinghausen (today's MLC Recklinghausen).
