The hospice, as part of the monastery complex, was built in the 13th century and rebuilt at the beginning of the 16th century. It originally served as accommodation for traveling merchants and carters, whereby the traveling carriages could be parked in the arched gate hall.

The former Cistercian nunnery in Mühlberg forms a self-contained unit, even if the various buildings were built at different times. The hospice presented here has been rebuilt several times, the beginnings probably originated in the period from 1250 to 1280. First, the larger western part with the gable roof, the "old house", was built. Only at the beginning of the 15th century did the stair tower with its angular base and the "salt house" with the hipped gable roof possibly even later. The tower as it is now even has baroque units. The house, known as the "Hospitium", originally served as accommodation for traveling traders and carters. The ceiling in the large room on the ground floor is designed with a beautiful late Gothic cell vault, in the room above, the current Hasemann Hall, mighty wooden beams support the ceiling. The hospice is now the domicile of the 1864 Mühlberg men's choir.

Among the other buildings of the monastery, the former hospice west of the cloister is worth mentioning. It is a plastered two-storey brick building with a barrel-vaulted pointed arch passageway, which has a stair tower with a dome on the north side and dates back to the 16th century.
