The Neetze Canal connects the Neetze with the Ilmenau. It absorbs almost all of the water from the Neetze and transports it to the Ilmenau. The canal crosses under the Elbe Lateral Canal on its way.faltboot.org/wiki/index.php/NeetzekanalIt is also wonderful to walk along the Neetze Canal, far away from the hustle and bustle, noise, cars and everyday life.

Beautiful at any time of the year and certainly never too crowded. Beautiful little path directly on the canal or alternatively a little higher on the edge of the field with a good chance of spotting game
