It's just a replica, but still worth seeing!

Over 5,000 years ago, Wulfener Berg was home to a significant burial ground
with megalithic tombs. Among them were some long barrows up to 130 meters long.

Our Stone Age ancestors used these barrows for long-term burials.

Much later, the burial mounds were used as quarries to extract material
for house and dike construction. Thus, the impressive barrows gradually disappeared. However, drawings and descriptions by the archaeologist and pastor Diederich Harries from 1836 still exist.

Based on these records, a long barrow was reconstructed in 2010.

For this purpose, stones were collected from all over Fehmarn and a 60-meter-long
replica with two burial chambers was created. The earth was not covered over the barrows to allow for better viewing.

Today, the Langbett (GPS coordinates: 54.405377, 11.162334) can be visited and entered at any time. It is truly impressive to stand among the large stones and imagine the effort our Stone Age ancestors put into creating them.

You can drive to the parking lot (approx. 150 meters away; GPS coordinates:
54.404159, 11.160274). You can, of course, reach the Langbett directly by bike or on foot.

There are a few nice seating areas where you can take a rest.
