The Burg Town Hall on Fehmarn was built in 1901 for the town of Burg on Fehmarn, replacing

the late medieval town hall from 1520.

The architect was Carl Voß from Kiel, and the total construction cost was 85,000 marks.

The town hall was built as a solitary building on the oval, approximately 200 m long and 70 m wide Burg Market Square using clinker brick construction. It housed the town's administrative offices,

the jail, and the apartments of the mayor and police sergeant.

A small farmyard served as a prison yard. The building is listed as a historical monument

of the Ostholstein district.
