The dam belongs to the very idyllic small reservoir with feel-good character. The associated trail can be used by children with Bobycar to seniors with a walker. Also pause benches are available in sufficient numbers. The Silbertalsperre or the Schevelinger dam with its 12.50m water depth is called "little sister" of the Neyetalsperre. Their task is to clean the (drinking) water by settling the pollutants. Through a tunnel, the cleaned water then flows to the "big sister", the Neyetalsperre.

Very nice little idyllic calm dam to go for a quick little walk or to come to rest.

Between the Neyetalsperre and he the Kerspetalsperre, near Hönnige (town of Wipperfürth in the Oberberg district) is the Schevelinger dam, also affectionately called the silver lake. The accumulation of water of 0.3 million cubic meters of water already shows that the dam is rather small compared to its large, neighboring sisters. The advantage is that you can take a leisurely walk around it without much preparation.
