The core of the town hall dates from 1790. Despite its simplicity, the representative Gothic facade with balcony is very suitable for the emsemble of the market. The other buildings were also built around 1790.

Right in the center is the historic town hall with its current building, built in 1863 along with the Ratskeller (Ratskeller wine cellar), and a sandstone market fountain, built in 1921, with a symbolic construction worker on its stele; it was reconstructed in 1983. In addition, numerous well-preserved or reconstructed half-timbered buildings reflect the living conditions of earlier centuries. Some house facades from the 19th and 20th centuries feature beautiful details reminiscent of the Art Nouveau era.
