Tips
The first underground passages of Geithain were probably already dug at the founding of the city at the time of the construction of the above the tunnels Nikolaikirche but the year 1168 as a cellar for neighboring residential buildings. It was not until later that they were gradually connected to each other and a tunnel system of more than 1 km in length, of which today 400 meters are still accessible.
