The trig point on Bradwell Moor stands at 470m. This high point gives great views southwest over Buxton and northwest over Chapel towards Stockport. This area of moorland is dotted with the remains of lead mines and newer limestone quarries. The lead mining dates to the Bronze Age with evidence of large-scale production and extraction during Roman times. Today it's a bleak place but on a fine day the walking is nice and far quieter than the Kinder area.
