A nice sturdy bench was placed here at the initiative of Natuurpunt. It is the favorite location of Joris Otte °15/01/1938 + 14/04/2015. Joris was Conservator of the De Boterhoek nature reserve for the Zwalm valley.

The linden tree next to the bench was also planted here in his memory.
