The former Weesow radar tower is a concrete building from the Second World War. It stands on the Spitzberg on the northwestern outskirts of the village of Weesow, a district of the city of Werneuchen. It is often incorrectly referred to as a flak tower. The tower was built in 1943/1944 and was part of the testing site for ground-based radar systems at Werneuchen airfield. A secret document from the Reich Aviation Ministry states: "The field offices of the E-offices, where the focus is on testing ground radio measuring devices, are located in Weesow and Tremmen (near Nauen)." After the war, the radar tower was still used for bombardment. Experiments used.

Today the privately owned Weesow radar tower is a listed building. The former workshop barracks and the testing team's accommodation are no longer there. Source: de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Radarturm_Weesow

Yes, everyone here says it was a flak tower. But that's not true.

The so-called Weesow flak tower, which is actually a radar tower, was used for bombardment tests after the war. It has become a landmark for Weesow. The history of the tower is explained in more detail in the book about the Werneuchen airfield.
