The Schnattergang, also known as the “Wundersame Wesen Weg”, is five kilometers long and well marked with colorful, artistically designed signposts. Many wondrous beings, such as “Theobald's guard dragon” or “Rikku fighting squirrel” line the path. A special and very popular offer for children is “The Treasure of the Schnattergang”, a puzzle hike in which many tasks have to be solved. Information boards along the way provide information about historical events (e.g. the ghost grave of the White Woman) and wondrous beings (such as beech troll Töddl or wood elf Fimfinella). The route leads over forest roads, forest paths and dirt roads, only a small section is paved. A particularly delightful place is the “three-sibling lounger”, which offers a fantastic view of the Hummetal all the way to the Ith. Shorter variants are available but not marked.
