Rotkäppchenland Rail Trail

M.E. in addition to the Ederseebahn cycle path from Korbach to Buhlen, the best cycle path in Northern Hesse. The route leads from Treysa to Wahlshausen for approx. 35 km along the former railway line and is excellently developed. As a result, the gradients in the west-east direction are very moderate. The beautiful ball also inspires.

My tour tip:
Arrival to Treysa by train from Kassel or Frankfurt with RE30 / RE98 or IC26. Then cycle to Niederaula on the Rotkäppchenbahn cycle path (approx. 50 km). Then via R1 along the Fulda to Bad Hersfeld (approx. 20 km).

On the entire route from Treysa to Oberaula - Wahlshausen a very nice to ride asphalted bike path. The constant slight slope is also very good for children and older people.

Nice signposted and well developed.
