Between 1911 and 1914, in addition to the Tannendorf Bridge, a connecting bridge over the Weiße Elster between the new Elsterberger Straße and the Göltzschtal and Friedrich-Arnold-Straße (today Plauensche Straße) were built.
The bridge itself is a complicated steel girder structure with a span of 48 m, which spans the Plauen railway line in a wide arc at an oblique angle.
