Burgstraße in Meißen

On the way to the venerable Albrechtsburg in Meißen, you wander through Burgstrasse and admire the fantastic line of sight. The atmosphere is unique, even when it gets a little turbulent. A beautiful place to be amazed and enjoy.

For me it was one of the best moments in 2020 when I enjoyed a cold drink in Meißen, on Burgstrasse. There are wonderful wine bars here that invite you to stop by. I recommend everyone to take a bike tour here, heavenly landscape and Dresden is right next door.

Listed houses are lined up on the historic Burgstrasse, in which today there are souvenir shops and several beautiful, smaller restaurants / wine bars with outdoor areas. The view from Burgstrasse is directed towards the beautiful cathedral peaks and the Frauenkirche.

From the market square, Burgstrasse is the main promenade in the direction of Domplatz / Burgberg. In the upper section, the castle steps branch off and provide the direct route to the castle bridge and the Burgberg plateau.

The main street, where there is much to discover. Beautiful buildings, nice shops and good opportunities for a small snack. The view of the castle is outstanding in this area.

The Burggasse goes left from the town hall up to the Albrecht Castle, this is also a small promenade in Meissen, with many small and lovely shops and cafes
