The small village church Lausen southwest of the large residential area Leipzig-Grünau is a late Romanesque west tower church, which was rebuilt in 1514 according to an inscription on the north side of a stone block on the tower. In 1833 and later, conversions were also made. The late Gothic carved altar originally in the church is now in the Leipzig City History Museum. In its place was a classical pulpit altar. An iron-studded door from the time it was built connects the tower and ship. The last external renovation took place in 1994/95. The Romanesque coupled tower windows were exposed again. The interior of the church was renovated in 2000. Since then, the altar has been shining in its original color again. There is an organ in the church.
