An absolute must if you are visiting the region. It can also be easily combined with the Frasassi Caves. The temple set into the rock is really something impressive.
The ticket costs 6 euros. The path to the temple offers a beautiful view of the valley and numerous places to sit allow people who are not good at walking to visit the temple. There are even sanitary facilities at the top. The temple is unspectacular inside, but its location is all the more impressive.

If you come from the SS76 towards Genga and after having traveled through the splendid Frasassi gorges, leave the car near a clearing on the right where you will find signs for "Tempio di Valadier".
From there you go up a wide and paved uphill road that reaches the Temple, an octagonal sanctuary built by Pope Leo XII.
The sanctuary is inside a huge cave that comes alive at Christmas with the living nativity scene (one of the largest), and by climbing to the top of the cave it is possible to see all the beauty of this place!
The cave goes into the mountain, but I do not recommend continuing because it is very dark, humid and slippery, but it is curious that continuing (only if accompanied by speleologists) you get to the Grotta del Mezzogiorno in San Vittore di Genga.

1 km climb only on foot. To get to the start of the climb where the tichet is there is a free bus from the large Frassassi car park 3 km before. 1 approximately every hour.
