The twin city of Salamanca in Spain was represented by an "attacking bull" at the state horticultural show. Salamanca has become world famous for its bullfighting and the bulls raised in this area. In Andalusia they were hunted, guarded and fought on horseback. In the mountains, where this was more difficult, bull fooling and running developed. A good fighting bull must have balanced body proportions. So he shouldn't have a head that is too big, a strong neck, a flexible neck, a broad chest and a strong, strong rear frame with slender legs. In addition, a fighting bull is expected to have large, lively eyes, nimble ears, small hooves, and a long, thin tail with a large tassel. Even if the tradition of bullfighting is alien to us, the large sculpture appeals to us, which tries to artistically implement the criteria mentioned. The Würzburg artist Reinhard Dachlauer made this bronze cast.
