The old equipment house of the local fire department in Nahmitz is located directly next to the listed church and was restored to become a permanent exhibition on the history of the Nahmitz fire brigade (founded in 1933) and opened in June 2007. Photo documents, uniforms and uniforms, ID cards, deployment schedules and deployment technology from the past are on display.

Reference is also made to the erratic boulder with a commemorative plaque in honor of Saint Florian, the patron saint of fire brigades, on the new equipment house in Alte Göhlsdorfer Straße.
