Sgwd Isaaf Clun-Gwyn means ‘lower fall of the white meadow’. While the higher falls a few hundred metres up the River Mellte are very dramatic, the lower falls are a picturesque series of cascades that flow into the steep gorge below.

Sgwd Isaf Clun-Gwyn is one of the most photographed falls on the four waterfalls walk. Thus, it is known as the “Lower” Fall of the White Meadow in English because it is on the same river and you have to head downhill to get to it. It is a great place for gorge walking, and I have had a lot of fun here over the years. It's a gorgeous place to come and visit in waterfall country.

Located in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales the waterfall Sgwd Clun Gwyn (Fall of the White Meadow) can be found on the challenging 5.5mile Four Falls Trail. The River Mellte crashes about 40ft over two ledges. At times of high water this fall can extened all the way across the ledge and is a popular spot for Canyoning.
