It is one of the most beautiful and oldest of its kind in Westphalia. The canopy with the mighty wings rests on a thick stump made of rubble stones, which after all have a wingspan of 22 meters. They could be turned in the correct wind direction with the help of the "Krühstertes" (rotating tail). After a thorough renovation, the Reken local history association set up a museum in the mill in 1972.
