Formations of stones, gravel or sand formed by currents, wind and weather create a compressed, higher seabed that offers optimal conditions for fish. Reefs often have a high water flow. On the sides of a reef the water is often deeper and the current is therefore stronger. Schools of small fish hunt near reefs as their food is stirred up by the current. This in turn attracts sea trout and other predatory fish. Reefs are year-round fishing spots and optimal resting places for sea trout on their way to “their” rivers. It's worth spending more time than usual on such fishing spots.

The small lighthouse stands on a headland with a beautiful sandy beach and a great view of Den Ny Lillebæltsbro, really beautiful.
