This common beech (Fagus sylvatica) stands a little away from the Junker path. Its trunk circumference at a height of 1.30 meters is exactly 4 meters. The specialty is that this is a multi-strain. This means that 2 beech trees have grown together near the ground and the trunk is therefore much thicker than it would be for the age of the normally individual trees.
