From here you have a great view of Veszprem. The cross was built in 1904. It takes only a few minutes to get to the castle.

The northern spur of the Castle Hill in Veszprém is named after St. called Benedikt Benedekberg. The mountain used to be a burial ground. Archaeologist Dezső Laczkó led the exploration of a 17th-century tomb here. Ferenc Semptsey, the deputy captain of Nagyvázsony, is said to have been buried in this burial chamber. Today the stone cross of the former Veszprém Calvary stands on the site of the crypt
