This is most likely a German bunker from WWI. According to British maps, a German position called Impartial Avenue ran here. The doorway faces east, and a small opening faces north. It was constructed of reinforced concrete cast against wooden formwork. The 12-meter wood, or Papenelstbos, was also called the Heiliggeestbos.
