The Mahlower Seegraben begins in Waldblick, an inhabited part of the municipality Blankenfelde-Mahlow and thus north of the federal motorway 10, which runs in this area west-east. To the south of Birkholz, a residential area in the Großbeeren community, it crosses under the motorway in a southerly direction. It now runs in an arch, first in a westerly and then in a southerly direction in the nature reserve Diedersdorfer Heide and Großbeerener Graben and thus northeast of Kleinbeeren, a district of Großbeeren. It crosses under the Potsdam – Schönefeld expressway and meets the Berlin outer ring. From here it runs in a westerly direction and joins the Großbeerener Graben after another 1.3 km south of Großbeeren.
