Here you will find the wetter part of the 't Plat nature reserve and that inevitably means a (small) piece of boardwalk, sometimes muddy streams and beautifully shaped trees between the wet alder forest on the one hand and the stream on the other. Look out for the tracks of creatures that like to live near and in the water!

Hiking

't Plat is a home to many different animal and plant species. Various species of amphibians live in the humid areas, including the green and brown frogs, the common toad and a number of salamander species. The area is also rich in reptiles, such as the viviparous lizard and the slow worm. Various species of dragonflies find their home there and approximately 45 species of birds breed in 't Plat. Numerous birds also come to spend the winter here.
