Cycling

In order to use the hydropower to drive the hammers and bellows, it was dammed up with the construction of the Scheidter Bach metallurgical plant to the Halbergweiher. In addition to its industrial benefits, the pond formed part of the park of the princely castle on the Halberg and was used by the society at court to Kahn games. Later, boat rides, swimming and in winter ice skating in and on the Halbergweiher belonged to the leisure enjoyment of the Brebacher. Around 1953, the now swampy pond was drained.
