The Lotte Neumann Estate in Wuppertal-Barmen is a listed residential complex built in the late 1930s in the so-called Heimatstil (Heimatschutzstil) style. It originated from a foundation established in 1935 by the Barmen industrialist Carl Neumann, who named the complex after his daughter Lotte Neumann, who died young, to provide affordable, traditional homes primarily for families with many children. It comprises several terraced and semi-detached houses on the streets Buchenring, Buchenkopf, Am Anger, Hangweg, and Berglehne. Today, it is a protected historical and architectural monument, receiving special protection for its architectural, urban planning, and local historical significance.

Cycling

The Lotte Neumann settlement is a very well maintained collection of Bergisch style houses from the 30s. The settlement was founded by Barmer manufacturer Neumann and named after his daughter Lotte.
It should become a settlement to support large families.
The settlement is well preserved and very nice to cycle through. The houses are stylistically similar, but never the same.
The small Margarethenhöhe of Wuppertal. 3 thumbs up!
